Here's another question. There has been a lot of talk about motorcycle tires on ebikes. What's your opinion? And is there a difference between weight on the wheel spinning and weight on the bike?
It really depends on your situation. A high power set up doesnt have to have motorcycle tires but if course its better if you do. It could be risky not having a very heavy duty tire on riding at high speeds. The weight and thickness is what matters. More weight keeps you grounded and the combination provides a better suspension. There is definitely a noticeable difference when riding. For a Ariel Rider at stock i personally dont think it matters to much. Over all having motorcycle tires they’ll definitely last longer and make for a smoother ride either way. Try to get something weighing about 8IB’s ir at least a thickness of 4mm
More heavy duty tires is definitely a better option for a high powered set up. They provide more suspension and weight to the bike. The heavier the frame the better it will handle under high speed. Especially keeping lower PSI than the recommended pressure.
