I bought a 48v x class but it just doesn't go as fast as I would like. I wish I bought the 52v. Im a big guy (6ft 260) looking to get my bike to do 35-40mph. Can that bike handle that with my size? What would I need to upgrade to reach that goal?

Yes you would need to upgrade. Theres 3 factors. How many watts, Amps and voltage. To Achieve what you want you will need to pull around 2000w with 72v and 45A at a minimum. You would need a motor kit and battery upgrade. 1000w can only go so far. Same goes for 48v. 48v can get higher speeds with a higher amp out put which for more amps you would need a new controller and also a new battery. The stock battery can only handle up to 35A witch can get around 35mph max. There are 48v 60A motor kits that can get around 40mph which you would need a 48v battery that can pull 60A. But its not worth runing high amps with low voltage. If your going to change the motor kit and battery might as well get the good stuff. The cost isnt to far off. Just trying to give you an idea of how this stuff works. The 48v X Class can handle up to 52v. The 52v X Class cant handle higher than 52v. I have tried.
